Refund & Cancellation Policy

    Last Updated: February 21, 2026

Learn to Fly provides a directory and lead-generation platform for flight schools, aviation businesses, and Aeromedical Examiners (AMEs). Because we do not provide flight training or medical examinations directly, the following refund terms apply:

    1. Platform Fees (Subscriptions & Listings)

If you are a Business or AME paying for a featured listing or subscription on our site:

    • Monthly Subscriptions: Payments are non-refundable. You may cancel at any time to prevent future billing, but no pro-rata refunds are issued for the remaining days of a billing cycle.
    • Annual Subscriptions: Refunds may be requested within 7 days of purchase, provided the listing has not been "Featured" or promoted during that time. An administrative fee of 10% may apply.

    2. Third-Party Services (The "Direct Contract" Rule)

    • Any fees paid for flight training, ground school courses, or medical examinations are paid directly to the Service Provider (the School or AME).
    • Learn to Fly does not collect, hold, or process these service fees.
    • Therefore, Learn to Fly cannot issue refunds for services provided by third parties.
    • All refund requests, cancellations, or disputes regarding flight lessons or medical exams must be handled directly with the business listed.

    3. Service Provider Obligations

    • Flight Schools and AMEs listed on our platform are expected to maintain their own clear refund and cancellation policies.
    • We encourage all users to review the specific Terms & Conditions of the school or AME prior to booking.
    • If a provider listed on our site consistently fails to honor their own refund policy or engages in fraudulent behavior, please report them to [email protected] for investigation and potential removal from the directory.

    4. Booking Deposit Fees (If Applicable)

If Learn to Fly charges a small "Booking Deposit" or "Platform Fee" to connect a student with a provider:

    • These fees are generally non-refundable, as they cover the administrative cost of the lead generation and platform maintenance.
    • Exceptions may be made if it is proven that the Service Provider's listing was fraudulent or the business no longer exists.

    5. Limitation of Liability

Learn to Fly is not responsible for any financial loss resulting from a dispute between a user and a listed aviation business. We provide the connection; the business provides the service.
